Switchover Day Guidance

This page provides guidance for Local Admins (LAs) on switchover day. While there are no specific actions required from you on the day itself, it is essential to monitor the health of devices and the desktop agent application, which will be deployed to all users ahead of the switchover.

Your role is to ensure a smooth transition by keeping an eye out for any potential issues and providing support as needed.

What will happen on migration day

Desktop Agent Activation – Please refer to the Environment Preparation Guide for all steps required to complete the desktop activation.

End Users Launch Desktop Agent Application – End users will have the desktop application installed on their local device. They will need to locate and launch the application, then follow the on-screen prompts to log into their apps and OneDrive using their NHS.net account.

Issues with the Desktop Agent – For any issues with launching or completing the steps in the desktop agent, users should contact the IT helpdesk for assistance.

Self Migrated Workloads – Self migrated solutions such as Power Platform solutions will need to be reconnected in the target environment.
