Transition to NHS.net Communications
As part of the transition to NHS.net, users will receive a series of email communications with important actions to complete at each stage.
These communications will guide users on how to set up their NHS.net accounts, prepare for switchover, and complete key actions on switchover day. Users will also receive guidance on how to manually migrate Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft Forms and other manually migrated workloads.
End User Switchover Form
This form outlines the key actions users must complete to prepare for the transition to NHS.net.
Before switchover, users must:
- Ensure they can access their NHS.net account
2. Complete any required self-migration activities
3. Avoid making changes to files during Copy phase
(1) Understand when content will move
Users should ensure they understand when their content will be migrated and what is included as in the transition.
Users should:
- Review the Transition Approach
- Attend the NHS.net webinar (if applicable)
- Read all email and Teams communications
This will ensure awareness of key dates and required actions.
(2) Continue to work from the legacy environment until switchover
Users should continue working in their existing organisation account until switchover. After switchover, users will access their email, files, and Teams through their NHS.net account.
(3) Avoid changes during the Copy phase
Users must not move, rename, or delete files during the Copy Phase. Changes made during this time may not transfer correctly to NHS.net. This applies to OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
(4) Complete self-migration activities where required
Some items will not be migrate automatically and must b e transferred manually by users.
This includes:
- Microsoft Forms
- Power BI
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
Users should review the self-migration guidance and complete any required actions before switchover.
(5) Verify access to NHS.net account
Before switchover, users must ensure they can successfully access their NHS.net account. If access has not yet been set up, users should follow the guidance on how to enable your NHS.net account or refer to previous communications.
(6) Setup access to both NHS.net and legacy accounts
Users may need to access both their NHS.net account and their existing organisation account during the transition.
To enable this, users are advised to use separate browser profiles, or use difference browsers (for example, Chrome and Edge). Users should follow guidance provided on how to switch between your organisation and NHS.net account.
