Begin Planning Early
- Licence reconfiguration can and should be planned well in advance of any migration activity.
- Do this before making any official approach to Microsoft and ensure Microsoft and your LSP are aware of your intent to migrate.
Determine Licence Requirements
- Review the Licence Onboarding Page for approved licence top-ups.
- Create likely shared tenant requirement.
Engage your LSP licensing specialists
Remove all:
- Browser based user licences such as F1, F3, E1
- Enterprise Mobility & Security
- Entra ID
Remove O/M365 E3, replace with:
- M365 Apps for Enterprise
- EXO P2 (not all users will need more than 50gb)
Remove O/M365 E5, replace with:
- M365 Apps for Enterprise
- EXO P2 (not all users will need more than 50gb)
- Power BI Pro
- Teams Phone
Once Unite is confirmed and your migration has been scheduled, liaise with Microsoft/LSP
- Confirm whether a multi-tenant amendment will be required.
